Our Curriculum & Class Schedules

Our 6 - 8 year old classes are designed with the younger artist in mind. Students work in a variety of mediums including pastel, watercolor, tempera paint, collage and magic marker. Lessons include the color wheel with warm & cool paintings, working in the style of a selected artist, cartooning, underwater scenes with collage & paint as well as a variety of other projects. All classes are 1 hr. in length and limited to 14 students.

2010 FALL 6 to 8 class schedule - Classes will be held on Saturdays beginning September 25 and ending December 18. Class times are 11:00a.m. to 12 noon or 12:30p.m. to 1:30p.m. This session includes 12 classes and one holiday to be held on November 27. Fee for the session is $225.00. All supplies are included.

To enroll, please send child's name, address , phone number, choice of class time along with tuition deposit of $125.00 to Staub Art Studio, 1709 Edmondson Ave., Balto., Md. 21228. Balance of $100.00 is due Nov.1

Classes for ages 8 through high school are designed to meet the needs of beginners as well as advanced students. Beginning students work primarily in charcoal & pastel as an introduction to realism. Our focus is getting students to see objects with light, shadow, form and color. Advanced students may work in a variety of mediums including pastel, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, oils & acrylics. We also offer portfolio preparation for magnet schools, high schools and colleges. Classes are 1 hr. 45 min. in length and limited to 14 students.

2010 FALL schedule for ages 8 & older - Classes will begin Wednesday, September 15 and end Saturday, January 22. This session includes 15 classes. Fee for the session is $330.00. This session includes one snow/personal holiday to be used at the instructor's discretion. Additional holidays are Thanksgiving-Nov.24-27 & Winter Break-Dec.19-Jan.2. If you wish to enroll, please send child's name, address, phone no., choice of class time along with a tuition deposit of $130.00 to Staub Art Studio, 1709 edmondson Ave., Balto., Md. 21228. Balance of $200.00 can be paid in payments of $100.00 due Oct.1 & Nov.1. ( Supplies are an additional fee.)

Anyone wishing to do cartooning may sign up for any of George's classes.

Adult classes are designed to meet the individual needs of students of all levels. Beginners usually draw from still life set ups working in charcoal . Students advance at their own pace and may move into pastel, graphite, watercolor, oils and acrylics. Students who have had previous instruction are encouraged to continue exploring the medium of their choice. Classes are 2 hr. in length and limited to 14 students.
